Canadian-American photographer
Born in North Vancouver, BC, raised in California, I’m an editorial portrait photographer with over 25 years’ experience behind the lens. I’m passionate about helping locally owned businesses, fashion designers and professionals within the industry. My time contributed to seamstress work, fashion design and styling plays a significant role in how I see the world and deliver photography.
My love for photography began by taking a beginning black and white film course at El Camino College, Torrance, California. The moment I saw my first fiber-based print come to life in the developing tray, I knew I wanted to be a photographer. So much so, I built a darkroom in my tiny studio apartment, processing film and printing until the wee hours of the morning at times. After six semesters of film education at El Camino College, I pursued a photography business and operated a wedding/portrait studio in San Francisco, CA for 15 years.
In addition to working as a full-time photographer, I belong to a photography education platform known as The Carty Method. Founded by Steve Carty, The Carty Method is a group of photographers who seek to level up their business skills and craft. The Carty Method is broken into 6 phases thus helping photographers learn new business and creative tools helping photographers become better creatives and entrepreneurs. The Carty Method is a kind and supportive group providing constructive feedback on photo critiques, how to implement systems, as well as one-on-one coaching and mentorship.
Whether you need a new LinkedIn portrait, an updated headshot for your acting or modeling portfolio, business portraits for your company, a photoshoot of your fashion brand or a magazine editorial, I’m here to help.
Located in beautiful Seattle, WA, I look forward to creating with you.
